Golden Age Hatch: 1984 Toyota Camry
Arrow-straight lines and funky 3-spoke wheels on a hatchback design: what else could it be besides a mid-80s Toyota Camry? Any of a long list of Golden Age of Hatchback vehicles, honestly.
Back in the 80s, Toyota was still building its customer core long before it became the sales juggernaut that eventually muscled its way to the top of the sales charts. The Camry certainly had its fans, though most opted for the America-approved notchback version. That’s why today’s feature from over at oldparkedcars.com is a bit of a rarity.
As an added bonus, check out the original-issue, old-school Oregon license plates – almost certainly installed when the car was purchased new in Bend, Oregon (at least that’s what we can assume from that old and probably pretty brittle plastic plate frame).
Thanks to our friends at oldparkedcars.com – check out that site for all sorts of odd and interesting street-parked cars.
